Using Ziply Fiber Password Vault

The Password Vault in Ziply Fiber SafeConnect provides a safe place to store and access sensitive password and credit card details.  This page includes steps for setting up your Password Vault, creating a recovery code for your master password, and managing entries.

Set up your Password Vault

  1. On the main screen of the SafeConnect app select Password Vault.
  2. Select your user category:
    • If this is your first time setting up Password Vault, select I'm a new user.
    • If you’ve set up Password Vault on another device and want to sync the two device, select I am an existing user.
  3. Create a strong master password and select Continue.
  4. Repeat the master password and select Confirm.
  5. Create a recovery QR code by selecting Save as image. The QR code is saved as an image in your photos.
    Important: Though it’s possible to skip this step, we strongly recommend that you complete it now. Your QR code is the only way to regain your master password if you forget it.
  6. If you’ve set up touch or face ID as your device password, you can use it to Access your vault faster. When the prompt appears, enable touch or face ID and select Save.
  7. Enable autofill to access your online services without having to enter your username and password manually. If an autofill message doesn’t appear automatically, you can enable it in settings.

NOTE: The Password Vault locks automatically after five minutes. You can increase this default timeframe in SafeConnect settings.

Add passwords and credit cards to your Password Vault

  1. In the main view of the Password Vault, select +Add.
  2. Select Password or Credit card and fill in the required details.
    • To view an entry as you type, tap or click the eye icon.
    • To automatically generate secure password click or tap the dice icon.
  3. After entering your password or credit card details select Save.

Edit a password or credit card in your Password Vault

  1. From the main screen of the SafeConnect app, select Password Vault.
  2. Select the password or credit card entry you want to edit.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. After editing the entry, select Save.

Recover your master password to the vault

If you lose the master password that opens your Password Vault, use these steps to recover it. 

  1. In SafeConnect’s main view, select Password Vault.
  2. On the login screen, select Forgot Master Password?.
    The Forgot Master Password? view opens.
  3. Select Import.
  4. Find and open the recovery QR code image you created.
    Your master password appears on the screen.
  5. Enter your master password and select Unlock.
    Password Vault opens.
