Import and Export Credentials

You may import a password file into Ziply Password Manager from the following password managers:

  • 1Password (PIF)
  • Dashlane (CSV)
  • KeePass 2 (XML, CSV)
  • LastPass (CSV)
  • Norton Identity Safe Password (CSV)
  • Password Exporter Firefox plug-in (CSV)
  • Password Safe (XML)
  • SecureSafe Password Manager (CSV)
  • Sticky Password (XML)
Import password data on your desktop
  1. Launch Ziply Password Manager and go to the menu in the left-hand panel.
  2. Click Settings, followed by Import passwords.
  3. Click Select.
  4. Select the file you want to import to Ziply Password Manager. Your data is imported into Ziply Password Manager from your specified location. Ziply Password Manager tells you how many passwords have been imported.
Export password data on your desktop
  1. Launch Ziply Password Manager and go to the menu in the left-hand panel.
  2. Click Settings, followed by Export passwords.
  3. Click Export.
  4. Enter your Master Password.
  5. In the Save As box, replace "ExportedPasswords" with the file name you want to use, and choose where you want to save the file on your computer.
  6. Click Save. Your passwords are successfully exported to your specified file location.

Important: When you export your Ziply Password Manager data, this file is exported into plain text, and therefore can be read by others. If you need to store this file, store it where it cannot be easily accessed or damaged. Also, remember to delete the file once you have transferred the data.
