I moved to Brookings, OR at the age of 5, where I attended Kalmiopsis Elementary School. After a couple years we relocated to Cottage Grove then back to the Oregon Coast, planting roots in the Coos Bay/North Bend area. I attended North Bend Junior High and Reedsport High School. My career consists of 15 years in retail management and 13 years in sales and marketing. I have two children; four grandsons; my partner, Bob, of 11 years and fur baby named Athena. Spring and summer are my favorite times of year, when I enjoy watching my grandkids play baseball in Coquille and Vetena, OR visiting our Oregon Coast beaches or hanging around the Coos Bay Downtown Farmers Markets. If you see me, say hi, I’d love to meet you!
Ziply Fiber’s partnership with North Bend, OR helps the small city maintain web cameras, a community ice rink and so much more. Read all about it on our blog.
Ziply Fiber formed in May of 2020 when it acquired the Northwest operations of Frontier Communications. Ziply Fiber launched with the vision of creating a human-centered internet experience.
We’re proud to be recognized both locally and nationally, and we’re grateful for partnerships with public agencies and local governments that share our desire to close the digital divide with high-speed, reliable fiber internet that will last for generations to come.
If we plan to expand our fiber network to your specific location, you’ll receive multiple communications, like door hangers and mailers.
Flags and paint tell us where we need to work around utility lines so our construction crews can avoid damaging them with their equipment. These markers are vitally important to keep local services uninterrupted and to prevent injury from ruptured gas or electrical lines.
Timelines vary based on a number of factors:
City planning and neighborhood layout
Weather and unexpected natural obstacles
Local restrictions
The fenced holes show where we place pedestals for equipment that supply fiber service to homes and businesses nearby. Weather permitting, we’ll install the pedestal soon after crews dig the hole. In the meantime, it’s fenced in for your safety.
Here are a few ways you can determine if you have an easement and how to find it.
Temporary parking restrictions allow crews to access and work in different construction areas safely. We realize this is an inconvenience, and we do our best to complete work as quickly as possible.
Service will be available for installation once a group of homes or businesses are collectively connected to the systems and we’ve completed testing. Ziply Fiber will attempt to contact you as soon as possible to sign up for service and schedule an installation at your address.
Experience more reliable video calls, game and stream with minimal lag, and do more with speeds 25x faster than cable internet* with Fiber Gig.
*Upload comparison based on Ziply Fiber Gig plan to major cable providers’ 1 Gig or 1.2 Gig cable service with upload speeds of 35 Mbps.
Fiber internet is built with more capacity than cable internet which means more bandwidth, and no throttling even during peak times.
Only fiber networks offer multi-gigabit, symmetrical speeds — meaning your upload speed matches your download.
