The home screen of the Content Anywhere mobile app on your Android device shows you how many contacts, shares, photos/videos, songs, and documents you've backed up in the last day, 7 days and 30 days. Access any file in Content Anywhere from the app. Browse by Photos/Videos, Documents or Music or by folder in the All Files view. This product is no longer available to new customers.

Below are instructions for performing basic tasks.

Task How To
Back up files Tap Navigation Menu (three lines in upper left corner of app) and select Settings. Tap What to Back Up and check the items you wish the app to backup automatically.
Upload files Tap Navigation Menu and then any of the personal data sections (photos, videos, music and documents). Tap the action menu (three dots in the top right corner) and select Upload.
Download files Go to a file and tap it to download. To select multiple files, such as photos in a photo album, navigate to album, select Action Menu > Select Files, select your files, and then press the action menu again and select Download.
Search for files Tap Navigation Menu > All Files. Tap folder to search, then tap magnifying glass. Start typing what you're searching for.
Delete files Select file to delete. Tap Action Menu > Delete.
Retrieve files from trash You must use the Web Client.
Share files Go to file to share and tap Action Menu > Select. Choose one or more pictures, documents, etc. Tap Action Menu > Share. Tap to add recipients. Then Add a Message (optional). To add more files, tap next to "Add Additional Files," select files and tap Done.
Note: To share by a method other than email, tap Other Methods for Sharing at bottom of screen and select your preferred method.
Unshare files Tap Navigation Menu > Shares. Tap down arrow next to share to revoke. Select Remove Share.
See what's been shared Tap Navigation Menu > Shares. Tap either Shared by Others or Shared by Me.
View files Tap Navigation Menu > Documents. Select document to view.
Restore files Tap Navigation Menu and tap Tools > Content Restore. Select device to restore content from, choose media to restore and select Restore.
Create photo album Tap Navigation Menu > Photos. Swipe screen right to the albums section. Select icon to add an album. To create a New Album, name the album and tap OK. To add items to an album, open an existing album and tap the icon, select the items you want to add, and tap the checkmark to add.
Note: Smart Albums are automatically created when photos are taken in close proximity of each other in a specific time period, such as when taking photos at a concert. Once the Smart Album has been created, you can add or remove content and share the album with others.
Make favorites Go to content, select Action Menu > Select and choose file(s) to make a favorite. Select star icon on upper selection bar.
Create music playlist Tap Navigation Menu > Music. Swipe right to the playlists screen. Tap the sign and select the songs you wish to add, tap the checkmark when complete. Once you have existing playlists, you can also tap the action menu from any song and select Add To Playlist, and select the playlist you wish the song to be added to. Try this out: You can play music and navigate to a different screen of Content Anywhere, and your music will continue to play.
Change settings
  • Select Settings > What to Backup and choose:
    • Contact Sync
    • Photos Sync
    • Videos Backup
    • Music Backup
    • Documents Backup
  • Select Settings > How to Backup and choose WiFi Only or WiFi and Mobile Networks to limit how your backups are performed.
  • Select Settings > When to Backup and choose Hourly, During the Day, or At night.

Note:

  • Videos are located within the Photos section of the mobile app. Tap Navigation Menu and select Photos.
