If you're a new Fiber TV customer, here's how to get your remote working with your Set-Top Box. Use the step-by-step instructions in either of the methods below.
Code Search method
- Turn on your TV and Fiber TV Set-Top Box.
- Press and hold both OK and LIVE TV buttons, then release both at same time. The red LED light blinks twice and stays on.
- Press and hold PLAY while the remote control tries different TV codes. The red LED light blinks.
- When your TV turns off, release PLAY immediately.
- Turn on the TV by pressing TV Power then press VOL+ and VOL- to see if the TV responds. Also test MUTE and A/V. If any button doesn't work, press and hold until it does.
- Press OK to save code programming. The red LED light blinks 3 times and turns off. You have successfully programmed remote control for your TV.
Manual method
- Turn on your TV and Fiber TV Set-Top Box.
- Locate the 3-digit code for your TV brand on page 2 of the TV Remote User Guide (pdf). Can't find your code? Use the Code Search method instead.
- Press and hold both OK and 0 until the red LED light on remote blinks twice and stays on.
- Enter the 3-digit TV code. The red LED light blinks twice and stays on.
- Press and release the CH+ button repeatedly* until your TV turns off.
*Note: Some TVs respond slower than others. Allow at least 1 second between button presses. - Turn on your TV by pressing TV Power then press VOL+ and VOL- to see if TV responds. Also test MUTE and A/V. If any button doesn't work, press and hold until it does.
- Press OK to save code programming. The red LED light blinks 3 times and turns off. You have successfully programmed remote control for your TV.
If you have problems with either method, check the following:
- If the TV Power button does not work, manually turn on your TV and go back to Step 1.
- If you press the CH button and the remote's lights flash rapidly, programming hasn't been successful. Go back to Step 1.
- Want to start over? Press the Exit button. The red LED light will turn off.
- Note: After 60+ seconds if no buttons are pressed, the remote automatically exits programming mode.
