How to Program Your Fiber TV Remote

If you're a new Fiber TV customer, here's how to get your remote working with your Set-Top Box. Use the step-by-step instructions in either of the methods below.

Code Search method
  1. Turn on your TV and Fiber TV Set-Top Box.
  2. Press and hold both OK and LIVE TV buttons, then release both at same time. The red LED light blinks twice and stays on.
  3. Press and hold PLAY Play button on your Fiber TV remote while the remote control tries different TV codes. The red LED light blinks.
  4. When your TV turns off, release PLAY Play button on your Fiber TV remote immediately.
  5. Turn on the TV by pressing TV Power TV power button on your Fiber remote then press VOL+ and VOL- to see if the TV responds. Also test MUTE and A/V. If any button doesn't work, press and hold until it does.
  6. Press OK to save code programming. The red LED light blinks 3 times and turns off. You have successfully programmed remote control for your TV.
Manual method
  1. Turn on your TV and Fiber TV Set-Top Box.
  2. Locate the 3-digit code for your TV brand on page 2 of the TV Remote User Guide (pdf). Can't find your code? Use the Code Search method instead.
  3. Press and hold both OK and 0 until the red LED light on remote blinks twice and stays on.
  4. Enter the 3-digit TV code. The red LED light blinks twice and stays on.
  5. Press and release the CH+ button repeatedly* until your TV turns off.
*Note: Some TVs respond slower than others. Allow at least 1 second between button presses.
  6. Turn on your TV by pressing TV Power TV power button on your Fiber TV remote then press VOL+ and VOL- to see if TV responds. Also test MUTE and A/V. If any button doesn't work, press and hold until it does.
  7. Press OK to save code programming. The red LED light blinks 3 times and turns off. You have successfully programmed remote control for your TV.

If you have problems with either method, check the following:

  • If the TV Power button TV power button on your Fiber TV remote does not work, manually turn on your TV and go back to Step 1.
  • If you press the CH button and the remote's lights flash rapidly, programming hasn't been successful. Go back to Step 1.
  • Want to start over? Press the Exit button. The red LED light will turn off.
  • Note: After 60+ seconds if no buttons are pressed, the remote automatically exits programming mode.
