It’s official: Chehalis, WA is a member of the America’s Fastest Home Internet community.
The relationship became official on April 24th, 2026, at a ribbon cutting at the Virgil R. Lee Community Building. Ziply Fiber was joined by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Tony Ketchum, Mayor Pro Tem Kate McDougall and community leaders.
“The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome Ziply Fiber's expanded presence in the Chehalis area,” said Member Relation Manager Juanita MacNaughton. “Their commitment to bringing reliable, high-speed fiber internet to our community is a tremendous investment in our local businesses, residents and future growth.”
Ziply Fiber Community Development Manager Alexander Kovacs also bestowed Fastest City Certification upon Chehalis. Residents can now access home internet speeds up to 50 Gigs — the fastest in the nation.
“As a resident of the area, it was particularly meaningful to be to be able to assist in bringing high-speed internet to my community and my neighbors,” Alexander said.
Chehalis, located along the I-5 corridor roughly between Olympia and Portland, is rich with history dating back to the Chehalis Tribe through the arrival of the railroad in 1873, which put the city on the map. Now Chehalis gets to make history again by bringing cutting-edge internet technology to its residents.
Thanks to a strong partnership with the city, Ziply Fiber made significant progress lighting up the city, with ongoing plans to reach more homes and businesses here and in neighboring Centralia.
