You might think bundling your internet, phone and television might be a good deal. So why doesn't Ziply Fiber offer bundles? In a word: simplicity.

The truth about bundling

Back when Americans relied on a landline and a cable connection to make calls and watch television programs, bundling phone and TV made sense. Then came the internet, which ran along coaxial cable lines or over the telephone line. So, it made sense to throw in internet service, too.

Then the internet evolved to become a central—often the central—form of communication in the modern home. Fiber internet revolutionized connectivity even more. Now, with internet flowing through thin glass strands at mega-fast speeds with ultra-high bandwidth, you don't need coaxial cable or DSL. And many people are finding that they don't need landlines or cable TV, either.

Why do bundles still exist?

Bundles sound like a good two- or three-for-one deal. You get one bill for multiple services. Often, you'll be sold on a bundle because the rates for each product are lower.

Here are some things to keep in mind, though:

Bundles still might be ideal and economical for some people. But many people are asking themselves: Do I really need all these services?

With the rise of streaming, VoIP calls, social media and video games, people are finding that they just need an internet connection and a cell phone. This technological shift causes legacy telephone and cable companies to lean into bundles to keep business afloat.

Why Ziply Fiber doesn't offer bundles

Our fast, reliable fiber internet can better perform all the tasks formerly handled by coaxial cable, including WiFi calling, remote work, videochats, streaming and gaming.

As a telecommunications company, we do offer traditional phone lines. We could bundle those, but why would we? We believe the customer should be in control of their plans and bill. We don't want to sell you things that you don't want or need, and we don't want to lock you into a plan you can't easily get out of.
