Use this page to interpret lights on fiber routers with NVG in the model name. For help with a WiFi 7 router go here.
No lights
If no lights are illuminated on your fiber router it’s likely not powered on:
- Confirm that the power cord is securely connected from the Power port on the back of the router into a working electrical outlet.
- On the back of the router, check the On/Off button to confirm that it's powered On.
If the lights are off despite your router being correctly plugged in and powered on, contact Technical Support at the number below.
Solid red lights
Red Power light
If the Power light is solid red it means the router has failed to fully power up. Try rebooting the router once more:
- Turn the router off.
- Wait at least 30 seconds before powering it on again.
- Give the router a few minutes to establish a full connection.
- If the power light is still red, contact Technical Support at the number below.
Red Broadband light
If the Broadband light is solid red it means the router is not receiving a valid IP address from your ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
- Reboot the router by turning it off for at least 30 seconds. After turning it back on, give the router several minutes to fully establish a connection.
- Reboot the ONT. Your ONT may be located in a garage or basement. Unplug the ONT from its power source and wait at least 30 seconds before powering it back on.
- If you don't know where to find your ONT, or if the broadband light is still solid red after rebooting the router and ONT, call us at the number below for troubleshooting.
Red WAN light
If the WAN light is solid red, check the Ethernet cord. It should be securely connected from your router’s WAN Ethernet port to the wall outlet or ONT. Reset connections if needed. If the WAN light is still solid red despite a secure connection, contact Technical Support at the number below.
Flashing green lights
Power and WAN lights flash green while a router is in the process of booting and establishing a connection. This process can take a few minutes to complete. Once the router has successfully come online, these lights turn solid green.
Solid green lights
When the power, broadband or WAN lights are solid green it means the router is connected and broadband and WAN connections are active.
