Call Forwarding

This article offers instructions for activating each variation of Ziply Fiber's call-forwarding feature. Some things to keep in mind for all types of call forwarding:

  • When entering the number you're forwarding calls to, dial it exactly as if you're calling it directly. Use 7 or 10 digits for local calls. For long distance, dial a 1 before entering the area code.
  • Forwarding calls to a long distance number could incur long distance charges.
  • Business customers are charged a message rate for each forwarded call.

Forward All Calls

Call Forward (All Calls) sends all of your calls to the number of your choice and overrides all other call forwarding options described on this page. Your phone makes one short ring each time a call is forwarded. You cannot answer incoming calls, but you can still make outgoing calls.

Activate

  1. When you hear a dial tone, dial  7 2. When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number you want to forward your calls to.
  2. Call forwarding is activated when someone answers the number you dialed.
If you receive a busy signal or no answer, hang up and repeat the first step within two minutes.
A confirmation tone indicates that call forwarding is activated.

Deactivate: Dial 7 3.

Call Forward - Busy

When you're on another call, Call Forward - Busy automatically forwards incoming calls to another number. If you have call waiting, Call Forward - Busy forwards incoming calls when you're already on the line with two callers, or if you’ve temporarily deactivated call waiting.

Activate: Dial  9 0. Listen for a special dial tone, dial the number you want to forward your calls to, followed by the # sign.  Hang up.

To change your forwarding number, repeat the activation process.

Deactivate: Dial 9 1 and listen for confirmation tone.

Call Forward - Unanswered/No Answer

With Call Forward Unanswered/No Answer, only unanswered calls are forwarded to the number you designate.

  • Dial  9 2 from a touchtone phone or 1 1 9 2 from a rotary/pulse.
  • Listen for a special dial tone, then enter the number of rings to allow before forwarding.
  • Dial the number that you want your calls forwarded to.
  • Call Forwarding is activated when someone answers the number you dialed. If you receive a busy signal or no answer, hang up and try the first two steps within two minutes.
  • You will get a confirmation tone indicating that this option is activated.

Deactivate

  • From touchtone phone dial 9 3 and listen for a confirmation tone.
  • From a rotary/pulse phone dial 1 1 9 3 and listen for a confirmation tone.
