Call Forwarding

Use these instructions to activate and deactivate each type of Ziply Fiber call forwarding.

Guidelines for or all types of call forwarding

  • When entering the number you're forwarding calls to, dial it exactly as if you're calling it directly. Use 7 or 10 digits for local calls. For long distance, dial a 1 before the area code. If you receive a busy signal or no answer after entering the forwarding number, hang up and repeat the activation steps within two minutes.
  • A confirmation tone indicates when an activation process is successful.
  • Forwarding calls to a long distance number could incur long distance charges.
  • ROTARY PHONES: For entering star codes on a rotary phone, replace the star with 11. Example: If the star code is *90, on a rotary phone you would enter 1190.

Forwarding All Calls

To send all incoming calls to a number of your choice, use Call Forwarding- All Calls. One short ring indicates when a call is forwarded. You cannot answer incoming calls, but you can still make outgoing calls.

Activate: Dial  * 7 2. When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number you want to forward your calls to. Call forwarding is activated when someone answers the number you dialed.

Deactivate: Dial * 7 3.

Call Forward - on Busy

Use this to forward incoming calls only when you're already on the phone. If you have call waiting, this option will work when two calls are active at the same time.

Activate: Dial * 9 0. After the special dial tone, dial the number you want to forward your calls to, followed by the # sign.  Hang up.

To change your forwarding number, repeat the activation process.

Deactivate: Dial * 9 1 and listen for confirmation tone.

Call Forward - Unanswered/No Answer

With Call Forward Unanswered/No Answer, only unanswered calls are forwarded to the number you designate. When activating this feature, you'll indicate how many times you want your phone to ring before a call is forwarded.

Activate: Dial  *9 2. After the special dial tone enter the number of rings to allow before a call is forwarded. Then dial the number you're forwarding calls to.

Deactivate: Dial *9 3 and listen for a confirmation tone.

Selective Call Forwarding

Selective Call Forwarding/Select Forward lets you select which callers are forwarded to another number. All other calls will ring as usual.

Activate: Dial *6 3.

  • Press 1 to hear the phone numbers on your list. Wait for voice instructions.
  • Press to add a number to your list. Wait for voice instructions.
  • Listen for an announcement telling you whether the number is currently stored in your forward list.

Enter or change forward-to number

The first time you turn on your service you'll be asked to enter the number you would like your special calls forwarded to. From then on, the system will simply remind you of the current forward-to number. If the current number is correct, dial 1. If you wish to change the current forward-to number, dial 0 and follow the voice instructions.
