We’re excited to announce that Ziply Fiber is expanding into Vancouver, Washington, bringing our 100% fiber-optic network to more than 11,000 homes. It’s a big step toward helping residents, families and businesses in Clark County stay connected with the speed and reliability they need for today’s digital world.
As Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber, put it: “Vancouver is a vibrant, growing city, and we’re proud to bring our 100% fiber network to support that momentum.”
Why this expansion matters
Vancouver isn’t just growing, it’s evolving. Remote work, online school, and telehealth became essential during the pandemic, and that demand for fast, dependable connectivity hasn’t slowed down. Even though 94% of Clark County households technically have broadband access, gaps remain, especially in underserved areas. Fiber internet helps close those gaps, ensuring residents have a connection they can rely on for everything from job opportunities to keeping in touch with family.
The current internet landscape
Until now, Clark County residents have mostly had to rely on long-standing providers like Xfinity and Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). Newer players such as Metronet (now part of T-Fiber), Ezee Fiber, Novos Fiber, Zing Fiber and Flying Bull have started making inroads, but coverage across the county remains inconsistent, leaving rural and some suburban neighborhoods behind.
That’s where Ziply Fiber makes a difference: our network expansion is designed not just for city centers, but also with underserved communities in mind.
Local support and funding efforts
Clark County leadership has already shown its commitment to digital equity. The county used federal ARPA funds to connect nearly 500 homes and businesses near Battle Ground Lake and continues to encourage providers to apply for federal broadband funding.
“Lack of access to online education, medical services and economic opportunities have been a serious burden to many of our neighbors,” said Clark County Council Chair, Sue Marshall.
What sets Ziply Fiber apart
It comes down to three main features:
- 100% fiber, 100% future-proof—Unlike cable, our network is built entirely on fiber, with capacity designed for decades of growth.
- Ultra-fast speeds—We offer internet plans up to 50 Gig, with symmetrical upload and download speeds that make working from home, uploading content, or storing files in the cloud effortless.
- Reliable connections—Fiber internet doesn’t slow down during peak hours the way cable often does, and it’s more dependable than satellite options.
What this means for Vancouver residents
Over 1,000 residents are already enjoying the benefits of Ziply Fiber in Vancouver, and now 11,000 more homes will have the opportunity to connect. For local households, this expansion means:
- A seamless remote work experience
- Access to telehealth services without buffering or dropped calls
- Smooth online learning for students
- Lag-free gaming and high-quality streaming
- Smarter, more connected homes
Looking ahead
This isn’t just about today, it’s about tomorrow. Ziply Fiber is committed to continuing our investment in Clark County, including rural expansions that bring equitable access to more people across the region.
Ziply Fiber’s expansion in Vancouver marks a major investment in the region’s digital future. With faster speeds, reliable service and a network built to last, we’re here to give residents a better choice than traditional providers.
