Ziply Fiber is all about connection; fiber-optic internet connection, yes, but also real-life connection with the communities we serve. That's why our Community Development Managers (CDMs)—the cheerleaders of the company—partner with local sports organizations to ensure kids are equipped with the perfect jerseys for a great season.
Sponsoring team jerseys and supplying pizza for end-of-season parties makes Montana Community Development Manager Josh Peck a popular guy around Billings and Great Falls. He loves that after just two years with the company, he can walk into a room of kids and be known as "the Ziply Fiber guy."
"Youth sports and activities help you connect with the community in a way that is wholesome and real and visible," Josh says. "It's easy for me to sponsor a sign at a sports arena, but when you're involved in youth sports, you're involved on multiple levels, and you show you're invested."
Baseball season is wrapping up, with football and soccer season kicking off. So far this year, Ziply Fiber sponsored t-shirts or jerseys for Capital City Little League, Great Falls Little League and tee ball, Great Falls Youth Baseball and Billings girls and boys tee ball, as well as sleeve patches and event support at the Great Falls Youth Baseball picnic.
"Great Falls Little League is grateful for the support of community partners like Ziply Fiber," says Great Falls Little League fundraising chair, Pam C. "Sponsorships are the backbone of our program—they help provide uniforms, equipment, field care, and opportunities for kids to learn teamwork and sportsmanship. With partners like Ziply Fiber, we can continue to create a safe and positive environment where hundreds of young athletes and their families come together each season."
Josh likes to encourage his Ziply Fiber teammates in Montana to reach out to him if they need support for activities they care about. "We care about your family and your kids," he tells them. "It's not just a job and a paycheck."
Josh remembers growing up in Montana and feeling loyalty to the brands that sponsored and helped his own sports teams. Partnering with local youth organizations boosts name recognition and supports physical and cultural activities as well as families in need.
"A sign that you're doing a good thing is when people call you to sponsor," Josh says. "The kids just make it fun for me. They make my job worth doing."
