On July 17th, the “city that friendliness built” officially welcomed Ziply Fiber internet service at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by city council members, city staff and the Willamette Valley Jaguars basketball team. The small event took place on a bright, sunny day at Academy Square Park.
"We're excited to welcome Ziply Fiber to the Lebanon business community,” said Rebecca Grizzle, CEO of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce. “Reliable, high-speed connectivity is essential for today's businesses, and Ziply Fiber's investment in our community reflects confidence in Lebanon's continued growth and future.”
Currently, about 3,200 homes are ready for fiber internet service, with 6,000 to come. With ultra-fast connectivity on a 100% fiber-optic network, opportunities for Lebanon businesses expand. And in the home, a faster, smoother internet connection means seamless streaming, gaming, video calls and uploads—even with multiple people online at the same time.
At the ceremony, Ziply Fiber Community Development Manager Kevin Guillen also presented the city with Fastest City Certification—proof that Lebanon does in fact have America’s fastest home internet.
“Bringing fiber to Lebanon is only the beginning, and we're excited to build lasting partnerships that create opportunities, strengthen the community, and make a difference for years to come,” Kevin said.
Ziply Fiber doesn’t just bring internet to a new city and leave. The process involves building trust and engaging with community needs. In addition to creating better internet connectivity in Lebanon, Ziply Fiber is also creating more connections in real life.
