Downtown Camas doesn't need much of an excuse to throw a party, but Camas Days has always been the big one. For 52 years now (you read that right), the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce has turned the last weekend of July into a full-blown celebration of a city that fought hard to become what it is today—and Ziply Fiber is proud to be part of it.
A downtown that earned its party
It's easy to forget, walking through downtown Camas on a summer afternoon, that this stretch of shops and restaurants wasn't always thriving. Camas went through some genuinely rough years, and it took real, sustained effort—beautification projects, small business investment, community buy-in—to bring it back. Camas Days is, in a lot of ways, the victory lap for all of that work. It's the whole community showing up to say: look what we built.
Parades, pop-ups, and a whole lot of fiber internet pride

This year, that meant a parade running straight through the heart of downtown, vendors lining the full length of the street, a beer garden and a kid zone packed with inflatables that Ziply Fiber proudly sponsored for the second-year running, our name right there on the banner. New for 2026: a Ziply Fiber-branded DJ booth, popping up to keep the energy going all weekend.
We had a crew on the ground both days, and we weren't just there to hand out swag and watch the parade go by (though there was plenty of that too). Our Community Development Manager for Camas, Kevin Guillen, also teamed up with the Downtown Camas Association to document the new public art that's gone up around the city—including a few pieces now housed on our own central office building—because a city that invests in itself the way Camas has deserves to have that work seen.
"Camas Days is a tradition that brings the community together, and we're excited to be part of it once again," said Kevin. "It's a great opportunity to connect with residents, celebrate everything that makes Camas special and continue supporting the communities we proudly serve."
Why we keep showing up
That's really the throughline for us at Camas Days: showing up for a community that's built something worth celebrating, year after year. We've been fiber-internet partners in Camas for three years running, and every one of those years has reinforced the same thing. Fast, reliable fiber internet isn't just infrastructure here; it's part of what lets a downtown like this keep growing. New businesses need it. Families streaming the parade livestream to relatives out of town need it. The DJ booth blasting music into the summer air definitely needs it.

From the kid zone to the DJ booth to the murals now hanging around downtown, this year's Camas Days was another reminder of why we keep showing up. Because Camas keeps giving people reasons to celebrate it, and we're proud to be the fast, reliable internet running in the background while they do.
