If your Ziply phone services include Caller ID, here's what you need to know.
- Caller ID lets you know who is calling before you answer the phone. Caller ID shows you the number of the caller, while Caller ID with Name lets you see the name and number of the caller.
- Your display unit (within or attached to your phone) displays the number, name, date and time of the call, so you can return that call as soon as possible, even if they don't leave a message.
- After the first ring, the caller's number and/or name will appear on the display unit. The type of information and the number of calls displayed depend on the type of display unit you have.

Notes:
Subscription to Caller ID requires the lease or purchase of a telephone with a Caller ID display screen or an add-on Caller ID display unit. Caller ID display devices vary in design, features and the amount of numbers that can be retained in memory. |
If the letter "P" or "Private" appears on your screen, the caller may have blocked the display of their number by pressing 6 7 before placing the call. You can choose whether or not to answer the call. |
If "unknown name," "unknown number," "out of area" or "0" appears, the caller is in an area that does not support Caller ID services. |
Caller ID on TV let's you see who's calling on their TV screen without changing the channel. You can also view call history and initiate a call (local call only) with your remote. Tune to Channel 9900, enter your voicemail PIN, and manage your call history on TV screen. |
Caller ID together with Voicemail will help you determine a caller's number when no message is left. |
