Residences and businesses have immediate access to gig-speed fiber internet and phone services starting today
Kirkland, Wash. (December 15, 2021) – Ziply™ Fiber today announced that its ultra-high-speed, 100-percent fiber-optic network is ready for service in Blanchard, Idaho, enabling “Gig-speed”, or Gigabit fiber connectivity to hundreds of residents and businesses across the community. With this network launch, more than 650 homes and businesses now can access Ziply Fiber’s ultra-fast fiber Internet and phone services.
“Ziply Fiber believes that reliable connectivity should be accessible to everyone, whether you find yourself in a lively metropolis or a picturesque rural community like Blanchard,” said Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber. “With our latest service launch, homes and neighborhood businesses will have just that. Our fiber-optic network brings immediate access to high-speed internet, TV and phone services, that should meet all residences and businesses connection needs well into the future.”
Ziply Fiber’s work in Blanchard was funded by an allocation from 2020 Federal CARES Act II funds received by the State of Idaho. The company approached Bonner County with the opportunity to apply for funds when it saw that the community was a match based on the criteria laid out in the program to cover broadband expansion projects. Ziply Fiber signed an agreement with the Bonner County Commission in October to formalize the project; the agreement imposed no additional costs on County taxpayers.
With no data caps and no annual contracts for residential users, Ziply Fiber’s service launch comes at a time when more and more families and businesses are looking for fast and reliable internet to support the online needs of daily life in today’s world.

Ziply Fiber is local in the Northwest, headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, and has major offices in Everett, Washington; Beaverton, Oregon and Hayden, Idaho. Most of Ziply Fiber’s executive team, which consists of former executives from AT&T, CenturyLink, and Wave Broadband, either grew up in the Northwest or have spent the better part of 30 years living here. That local ownership and market familiarity is an important part of the company mindset and culture.
