Check the phone with the volume problem and its user guide if you have one.

Find the volume adjustment. It may be a switch on the phone itself or a control you can change by using the phone’s software menu. Turn the volume up all the way.

Place a test call from your cell phone or ask someone else to call you.

Let’s unplug the handset from the phone base.

Now plug it back in and place another test call.

Now let’s unplug the phone from the wall outlet.

Plug it back in and place another test call.
